I'll overwhelm 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making substantial earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters met for the usual face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually happening.
